IP & Ownership

The U.S. Copyright Office concluded in January 2025 that human creative contribution is the standard for copyright protection in work made with AI, and recommended that creators keep records of their human contributions.

A Creative Origin Record is that documentation: the witnessed timeline of human direction — what was chosen, rejected, edited, approved — alongside where AI generated or assisted, sealed and independently timestamped during production.

Set at delivery

At project finish, the owner sets the creator profile — ownership and copyright information — and any assertions to carry with the work, such as no-AI-training or no-data-mining declarations. These are written into the sealed record and the deliverable's manifest together.

Signet does not determine ownership. The record supplies the production evidence an ownership claim rests on.
